A few All Japan Show pics from Ray

Here are a few pics from yesterday at All Japan Show. We woke up to snow falling in Tokyo that continued all day. Martha had to go for a stroll to experience walking in the snow. She quickly decided enough and headed back to hotel.

Saw many old friends and met some neat new koi kichi's. How quickly the day passed. I know I missed meeting many of you that attended. Brian, I looked for you but didn't find you. Much more difficult to take in the entire event set up english style. Headed to Kyoto and a few points south for a few days and then to Toyoto city(Yohei) and Isawa(Sakuma, Maruyama, Sakai) later in the week to do a little koi shopping ourselves.

Here are a few pics of some of my favorites at the show. I just rotated, cropped, and resized.

Good job recognizing this type of koi. I think Kage Showa is most correct but also agree the Goshiki Showa would be a good ID as well. Either way it would be benched as Kawarigoi for a show. Usually this type of koi is not very beautiful. This one was very special and lots of fun to see.

Ray . . .

I think I read on one of the boards that the showa was from Dainichi and took Reserve Grand Champion? I've tried to backtrack and can't source that -- can you confirm? Thanks,
