JG
Thanks for the concern, I have been away from the board posting for several reasons. Which I will explain later, but I wanna thank you for posting this thread because it gives others such as myself an opportunity to say something we would probably have otherwise kept to ourselves.
There are different koi forums and though some people are a member of several of them Koi Bito members are koi bito members. Everyone has a difference of opinion and if we kept it purely on a logic or reason to argue level we would all be happy ants, but being individuals that we are we often have threads that started out purely for the exchange of information about our hobby to advance our hobby. These threads sometimes turn sour when personal agendas come into play. Disputes over previous arguments and grudges kept have turned some of us into the people we normally arent.
I have never truly had a hobby before until I got into koi, I have never enjoyed something so much. This hobby can bring joy in so many ways for different people. Here are a few of mine, before koi I was never a DIY guy, but because I love the hobby I learnt to be a DIY guy and know I enjoy building my own pond and filters, trying new experiments in regards to water flow and filtration science. There is no shame in those that do not DIY, some people are really great like B scott and Maurice who share what they do so that others can enjoy the same results with their hobby whilst others arent then there are people such as myself that are constantly learning from people like maurice and B Scott, M Snaden and the list goes on. A lot of different members excel at different parts of the hobby, for eg luke Frisbee with axial pumps, and also JG. Some people have great in depth knowledge with submerge filters, others have great experience and knowledge with wet/drys. People like JR have great knowledge of koi, how the blood lines develop and judging (I know, I know tewa praising JR.........). Some people have great knowledge with breeding, Maurice and Brad past their knowledge to others like KFG.
But we all tend to forget at times how and where this great exchange of information takes place, koi forums. I believe alot of times we post in anger I know I do, whether we are attacked directly or attacked about our knowledge or others post or a different idea on the same topic is posted (then comes all the s**t from the past debates where we often perceive that a certain person doesn know anything because of his opinion shared in the past about an entirely different topic .............. fellas doesn this seem to sound like our partners when in the heat of the argument bring up all our previous mistakes and faults

well surpisingly in this forum a lot of us guys act like the girls).
And we snap and post in anger. Then the thread finishes, and we are all in peace mode until another thread comes up. Its human instinct to defend when being attacked some of us are more forgiving than others and some arent like one of JRs favourite lines is "take no prisoners" End of the day all this takes place in the forum, people learn from this forum, people find joy from this forum and people get hurt in this forum as well. Even if we dont respect a person we should respect the forum, the place where it all happens, how many times have good threads been spoilt with personal jabs and other members feel turned off reading that thread even though great information and ideas are being passed around.
I personally have not posted for a very long time, but I read the forum everyday (several times a day), this is due to a couple of reasons my work has taken up most of my time, but I will be honest ..... I was personally quite exhausted after the bakki shower threads on koi bito, koiphen and koichat. Those threads had taken so much of my time and energy, so much time spent arguing and attacking people when they attacked me so much time wasted on arguments that went off topic, I grew quite tired of it. I had took on countless (at what I considered at that point in time) enemies but I also found a few great friends, I wont say who but you guys know who you are. I decided to just lay off the forums. Now that the storm has blown over I see some of those I considered enemies in a different light, when I see how they post on other threads I can now come to grips with the fact that it was a difference of opinion (even the guys that call me a crazy S.O.B or all time koi forum whackos) so I hope others can to. I admit I still read what JR posts and do learn from him even if I may say otherwise in anger, damn I hope hes not reading this.
I have my ideas on many other general topics that often get posted on this forum but I am no expert and I am learning from everyone just like everyone else, so I dont often post and just read and learn. I know a little more about wet/drys and showers and thats usually when I post but a lot of times the questions are already answered by the many knowledgable members on this forum.
There may be some people i disagree with on some of these forums namely the moderator and some members on koiphen but I still think the information on that forum and every other forum is invaluable.
Hope you guys can all respect and love this forum, this is where I have spent most of my time posting and its my internet koi home

Hope you guys can put up with me in the future.
Great thread again JG, you are a true man and a loyal friend and one hell of a koi kichi I am glad you came on to this board as well
