Koi kingdoms and respect

I would like to start this thread by apologizing for my less than respectful treatment of others. I get frustrated at times and let it fly, so I want to ask the forum members to forgive me for that. I know it can be upsetting when those things happen, plz remember I am still under construction.

That being said, we have several members who have dropped off of radar and I would like to know if anyone has heard anything or knows anything about them. One is aquitori, another is tewa, and another is JR. I consider them all a valuable part of this forum and am concerned about their sudden lack of posting. The last comment I heard form aquitori was that something had happened to his pond. Since then we have not heard form him. Has anyone heard form him or JR (JR last posted about difficulty with emails and then disappeared 2 days ago)?

tewa disappeared just before JR. I feel a bit guilty as I know I irritated JR a bit a week or so ago (somewhat by accident some kind of purposefully, for which I apologize). I do not want to be the burr under JR's saddle that makes him blow off steam at others or leave. He is vital to the learning process of hobbiests here and I would rather leave myself than see that happen. Has anyone heard from any of them? Are you ok aquitori?

Since JR likes the rough and tumble as much or more than most, my guess is it's gonna take a lot more than a couple of fleas (like you & me) to drive that big ol' dog off'n his porch.

My guess is when he spots a fire hydrant he fancies, he'll christen it. Till then, we wait.

Don't sweat it JG

Some of us have busy and light times in our personal and business lives. These other "activities" can draw us away from the boards for periods of time. In JR's case, I bet the market is busy and he just hasn't had the time. As Koicop points out, JR deals pretty well with the rough and tumble times (he actually enjoys it ).

Aquitori is taking a step back and trying to regroup after an unfortunate mishap took more than half of his collection. It is very difficult to accept some of the things we go through in this hobby, but I"m sure Tonio will come back stronger than ever. My heart goes out to him, as I"m sure everyone elses does on this Forum. Hurry back Tonio, we miss you!

Sorry to hear that aquitori, don't be embarrassed, it happens to all of us. I left a gallon of muriatic acid used to clean the cement by it on a ledge last year and the cap loose. Some kids came over, got to wrestling right there and guess what? An hour later every koi in that pond was dead. Lesson- no muriatic acid near the ponds again, and no kids allowed to rough-house right by them anymore. Just think, now you can get even better koi!

Aquitori, sorry to hear of your loss. I know what it's like to be completely turned of from koi by something like this.

I wish you can enjoy koi once again. Untill then, I wish you the best and hope to see you back here soon!

Bonds? Really? Maybe I can get him into the more exciting and risky yet more profitable world of commodities. Bonds are secure, but low yield and no exciting risk. I guess he waits for one to mature and then takes a trip to a show and buys another nice show quality koi with part of it. Good plan.

Too JG and the few others who have piped in on my threads!!!!!!

I greatly appreciated your dialogue with me along with many others over the last couple of weeks as a new member on this super forum. I have felt the joy of your discussion and the passion for koi and the ponds/tanks they are kept in. Someday, I may become one who truely appreciated this wonderful hobby. I don't know about the others you spoke of... but I'm getting to understand yourself and a few others......for that......thank you from Canada.... and a guy who wants to learn before he makes major mistakes from your shared and valuable experiences and knowledge.

From a Newbee......
