Any experience with wave filters?
Has anyone here had any experience with Wim Lim's filters/filter systems? I have a new friend with a poorly designed pond who needs to improve the filtration. It will have to be a system where the mechanical filtration is pump fed. I looked at Wim's "Wave System" as an easy fix for her, something that can be dropped in and hooked up easily. The local pond builders really do not have the understanding necessary to fix the problems.

I totally agree. I install ponds and upgrade filtration systems and it's the ONLY one I recommend to my clients. If the pump is matched to the right size filter, you're right it does not need a blower. I currently am using a model 20,000 with a Dragon 1/3hp for mechanical/some bio on my own 10,000 gal system. Totally trouble free for the past 3 years and counting.
