I've Waited So Long For this......

Got my new koi in today.... 2 of them... a Sanke and an all white kohaku with 2 orange spots..... one: 18-19 inch... and the other around 17 inches....

They arrived around 10:30..... and by 3:00, my sanke died.....

It lay at the bottom of my quarantine tank.... With all efforts to revive it, I was terribly unsuccessful......

I've been trying to contact the seller, but he must be at work or something.... I don't know... This is really heartbreaking because I was looking forward to receiving the sanke more than anything..... it was soooo beautiful... Even more precious than the kohaku and more expensive.... a 300.00 koi.... It was... But, well worth every dollar...

Yes... I spent more than I said I would... But, only because I desired to see this little fellow... He was 3 years old........

Yeah.... Me too....

The seller called me back... and I tell you... Mike Hammock is a wonderful seller....... Even told me that I over paid on the shipping and will also reimburse me that ...... I told him, I didn't want the money back... so, he offered me a choice of some more of his beautiful koi....

I highly recommend this seller... He is fantastic.... He did not waste anytime in calling me back....

While other sellers request that the tail be cut off... He said to just send a picture of it....

Man... It really hurt me that this creature died.... It just gave up.... floated them first, but when he lay on the bottom, I tried putting more oxygen in the water.... I added fresh water.... I pulled out my large Jebo filter and hooked it up ....... I even tried to motivate him through the water, but he only fell over...

When they arrived, they appeared seriously stressed..... The white kohaku was red... So, he was beautiful to me... But, I knew it wasn't comforting to him... So, I tried everything I could..... The kohaku is fine... But, the sanke.... Well..... I'm taking a picture of him for Mike at Hammock Koi Farms.... And, he will be replaced....


Oh... and get this.... My pump just died too.... Go figure!!!... Just a weird day... It just stopped working right after the Sanke died...... And no more than half an hour after him.... Weird, weird day......

I am so sorry to hear your day goes so bad. But look at the good side, You know you have a great koi dealer . And you have another nice koi coming to your front door.

I'm sorry to hear about your Sanke dreamer . About the pump...was it submersible and was it plugged into a GFI outlet?
