I bought a 14" Maruyama Kohaku 2 years ago. I was told that it was a Jumbo Tosai. Two years later, it is now about 14 1/2"...... You know, in this hobby, sometime we have to say "In God we trust"....

A. Dinh,
It's true for Maruyama bloodline. Same as yours, my Maruyama kohaku bought from 14'' and grew an inch in 3years. It's my bonsai fish.

Koiczar,
Like I said, it's a bonsai fish. I believe my kohaku is 5years old and only 18in.

Could it be that all fish grow at different rates and are in different environments? I have had both occur-fast growers and slow. You pick. My experience is that jumbos do slow down and become normal size within tw years. Good luck on the money side.
