Essential koi kit . . .

wife bought this for me and it arrived today. It simplifies timing my pond water changes and it's great. Thought I'd share with y'all since we all face the same danger of screwing it up.

Portable Timer/Clock Our favorite feature? For bakers in a hurry, to set the timer for 29 minutes, 30 seconds, just press 2-9-3-0; no more aggravation of pressing the button 29 times to reach 29 minutes!

• This timer counts up (like a stopwatch) as well as down.

• Measures up to 9 hours, 99 minutes, 99 seconds.

• Functions as a clock when not in use.

• The hang-around-the-neck style is really convenient.

• Weighs a mere 1 1/2 ounces. 4 1/2" long.

• "Button" battery included; 1-year manufacturer's
warranty.

Portable Timer/Clock $17.50Item # 6117

I have shopped all over for count down timers that don't die when they get wet. It looks like some girl found you a good one. Does it beep good?

Mickey . . .

no sense varnishing the plain ol' truth.

The timer never gets wet; I turn the hose on, set the timer, hang it around my neck, go inside and log on to K-B. When it rings I go outside, turn off the hose and hang the timer up. Even has a magnet on the back so it sticks to the freeze.

Oh, the ring is not only loud, it's continuous -- until turned off. And since it's hanging around my neck, both my wife and I are reminded that water's running. (Always helps to have a backup plan, ya know. )
