Carp pox

Hi all
I am sure some of my koi have carp pox,

the last time i saw it was about 10 years ago,

could the cause be this long cold winter or is it some kinda virus.

I bought a kohaku from a cold water Calif. dealer that was covered with pox last year. He said to suck it up, don't worry, my warm water will get rid of it. He was right, it is one of my best fish with no sign of the pox. A good ending I like. No more candle wax dropings on my fish.

Steve:

Our State Aquaculture Vet, who specializes in koi, made a presentation to our club re: KHV... During the presentation he stated the Carp Pox is a less invasive type of herpes virus... Less invasive meaning it won't kill the herd... Just makes um ugly.

I have seen pox disappear once the water gets to be around 19-20c.
