AKCA KHV already has a great team of people and experts to run the program.
I am not a member of AKCA KHV....Just love to do something good for the hobby.

I agree there is a great team of people both offically and unoffically working on Project KHV.

Dinh would make any team stronger/better and anytime he wants to help Project KHV we would be honored and grateful for his assistance.

This is the first time I have a chance to respond and read this thread. As you know I hardly posted to any threads before this show and I must give lots of thanks to Tony, the Koi-Unit and all on this forum for helping me to give my support to Kevin and promoting this show.
This is the first time I actually saw what goes into a show. I give the upmost credit to Joe...who I saw put SO much time and energy behind the scenes. Being close to him I didn't even get to spend much time with him....with him being so busy. I also saw on Friday in the pouring rain Tony and the Koi-unit getting really wet in setting up. They also were there from beginning to end unselfishly giving their time and energy .... Dinh running around promoting KHV....Even the people who gave the time to bring their fish was great to see and meet. Also to my friends from Hawaii, who came with us and ended with Guy helping with the setup (didn't get to see any of San Francisco) and Gary helping Kevin (so never even got to see the fish).
I would like to thank Kevin who made this show happen and most of all ...thanks to ALL of you that came and made this a memorable experience. Hope to see all of you again.

why AKCA KHV?

During ABAKS auction for KHV, one of the winners asked me why I picked the AKCA KHV funding for contribution? some people PMed and asked the same question... I think it is my obligation to express the answer here.

I have learned quite a lot about KHV virus and KHV Research Programs. I think there is a need for all of us to support good research programs in order to fight this virus. There were/are some KHV research programs, but many of them are just a short term research. Mainly, just as an investigation of the KHV when it breakout, but they do not have a long term goal and commitments.

I see AKCA KHV is the best KHV research program. Well formed and organized program with have a good committee to run it. AKCA contributed quite good amount of money to the fund and trying to match it as well. It works together with the school that doing the research for KHV. There is also a review committee that do review the progress of the research program in order to make necessary contrinutions....I would love to know if there is another good research program that we should help as well.

In additional to koi auction for KHV, some Koi-Bito Members also made contrinutions directly to AKCA KHV funding as well. Thank you.

I also agreed that since we support AKCA KHV program, we would like to see the Progress of Research program sometime in the near future.

Best regards,
--Dinh
