Yep I've been impressed since I found them...the thing was finding one that was small enough for a koi lake.
I have emailed the factory and if they don't email me back I may have to call them

From the chart I saw that small one was based on a .5 meter lift, so not quite enuf for a shower, but it may still have siginificant volume at shower height. Are there any charts that have the curve on them for those?

Luke, that is incorrrect.

So, do you have any feedback available from anyone in Thailand who's currently using one?

LL and JG

I notice the wattage is for european standards voltage - any problem converting??

I really appreciate both your enthusiasm in this project. I know, it's for the good of the hobby - and YES it would be. It would also help your pocketbooks which in this case is okay cuz it would help so many save so much in power consumption. Way to go guys - keep moving forward on this idea - you're definitely headed in the right direction

That's not the issue Luke, nice try tho. It shows u r thinking, I am just not sure about what....

PS-You wn't find it in books, such knowledege is wrought by painful experiences from having trusted a very book knowledgeable engineer with many fine degrees. Theory only works in classrooms as some fine scientists say.....

We should really try to keep the good vibrations going and not delve into deeper matters on the board so we avoid conflicts that just lead to more conflicts. If I run into data that shows why on a chart or something on the net I'll email it to u. I learned about it in the old days before the internet, so wouldn't know where to find it here and don't have time right now to dig it up. Stick to nylon or plastic props. A stethescope and access to small pump motors running various props will help on the path to discovery tho.

I believe you JG really I do...three letters FIR.
Now will you call the producers of those pumps and tell them how they are going to loose their azz unless they get some toy boat props on those pumps?

And BTW koiczar, JG is a cheerleader on this.
I've been searching with my limited resources for two years to find a fractional horsepower mixed-flow pump...while the pumps discussed here are only Prop pumps, it is a far better product than the "slowed-down" swimming pool pumps that the hobby has accepted.
Recently JG has babbled about the workability of these pumps and mentioned in a post that he has sent some props to Bickal so bickal could do some DIY/Backyard testing.
I haven't heard anything about it from Bickal?

From people that are using Linn-pumps, build quality is VERY good(typical german quality). Flowrates and power consumption are about same as FOK's.

Linn's site has a spec-sheet(pdf) that has all the details.

Any idea what motors they r using in those bancherd? Windings and bearings are so important, and Germans certainly know how to do both of those very well.
