FLASH! On another site the thread title read, "8000gph for 150 watts"....
I went to the site and cruised around and couldn't really find the pump?
any of you that go there and find it tell me which one it is and if ya see the price, PLEASE tell me.

Those a littel big for the hobby pond, and a little expensive too, hence no price on the sites. Looks like steel props, etc. I didn't see the small one you referred to. MAybe you could email them and ask politely for all of their specs and prices. Might be good for draining a mud pond tho.

Looks like somebody like your idea....how long have they been making those?

Stainless prop with shaft = short pump motor life from the data I have gathered. Not a bad price for that many gph, that amount of power savings, and the fact it is made of stainless. Only thing that concerns me is that small motors turning props as heavy as stainless don't have a reputation of long life for several reasons. However, it is the best thing in that range I have seen on the market yet. But, the market is young. I wonder what pitch and diameter prop they use in that one.

the weight of the prop would ONLY be an issue concerning motor life IF the props were constantly changing speeds.
Only the amount of water and pressure are issues.

I believe some of the smaller ones are "Linn pump", made by a company in Germany. The price is similar to FOX-pump.

There are actually a few of these "Linn-pumps" being used in koi ponds in Thailand.
