Mitten,

Thanks for the complement I wanted to do this one rite I have four fat mutt Koi(14" to 18") in an existing pond that is too small for them so they will go in first then I might get two more if I find the rite ones.

Well got some grouting done today.

Stacey- Thanks for keeping up with the pics. Each of the steps looks great and you are maintaining your high standards as you finish.

Question though about the waterfall. Did you start your sanitred inside there already? Was some other sealer used? I like the channel you built and I think it will produce a nice sheet for the fall, but from my outside observer position I am pointing out that the hidden resevoir will need to be waterproofed to prevent water seepage through the concrete block and mortar. Water within the walls would deteriorate the block, yes, slowly, but it would also pop the slates and crack the block if you had a freeze. You do have freezes, right?

Do you have any worries about the steel rusting or is the angle iron that supports the cap across the falls made of something else like fiberglass? Sanitred would work on it too, if it's steel.

Yes I used hydraulic cement to seal the inside of the channel, but the cap stones are removable above the chamber and I plan on sealing over that with Sani-tred when I get that far.
