went out to see the fish last night. they was very hyper, darting around. i asked my dad why and he said because they give thunder and it may be the pressure. i put some food in and they where all eating nicly then i put some in on my hand and they all (exept 1) fed out of my hand. im so happy

Talking I think I like your dad

He has a good sense of humor .
After stirring up a pond it can take several days for everything to settle down. Skin irritations make them uncomfortable and having you in the pond is something they are not accustomed to. It takes my kio a few days to calm down and become trusting again after netting one or two for inspection or picture taking, but once they do everything is fine.
Changes in the weather can also influence how energetic they are and how deep in the water they want to swim.

I personally prefer an Ochibe to a chagoi. The get just about as big, are friendly but have a bit of patteren as well.
