Louisville Koi Show....

Plan to attend the Louisville koi show and to visit some Koi-Bito friends in Louisville area, but wife and kid want to go to Disneyland instead... Just wonder any Koi-Bito member will attend the coming Lousiville koi show?

I'll be there. Mike Pfeffer, Mulberry Jen, Tim Cash and surely there will be other Koi Bito regulars show up. Maybe they'll chime in here & we can make a list. We could have a Koi Bito luncheon or something.

Louisville....and opportunity to have Dale Torok provide lunch?

Ya mon,

Sheila and I will be flying to Louisville from da' island...if for no other reason than to stay with Dale and Kathleen and to see the renown Luthur' stone wall...

As for the koi show. And, visiting with our other koi friends. Perhaps, all are secondary to seeing the famous Luthur's wall - so, we understand?

Anyway, I am certain we all appreciated Dales generous offer of buying us all lunch...

Yes, how about the generosit of that guy, Dale Torok.

Is there anyone more generous in all of Kentucky?

In fact, I would suggest that 'all' who are going to Louisville should be sending Dale our lunch order in order that he can have lunch prepared, hot and awaiting our arrival...

Question? Is it still possible to get a mint julip in Kentucky?

Hum?

Louisville Koi Show

Lee,

I believe your room rate just went up. How much will depend on the number of people who show up in Louisville expecting a free lunch!

Mint julip in Kentucky? Of course. Any day. Any bar. Any time. If you like bourbon, you'll probably like a mint julip. If not, you may not finish the one you order.

Does the increased room rate also include a tour of Luthur's wall?

Dear Dale,

I have oft' heard of similar experiences from other travellers...who once their reservations were made or they were actually at the advertised property, they learned there were a host of additional charges and extra's added to their hotel bills...

Of course, I hadn't expected it at Chez Torok.

But, then - I wasn't the one who had encouraged everyone on Koi Bito to join him at lunch?

You did!

Indeed, we were very pleased to have signed on for the talking tour to Luthur's wall, as well as, the visit with the new puppy, and the Torok pond tour. We are particularly thrilled also by the Churchill Down's premium tour and the koi show...

However, to now sadly read that the tendered koi show Koi-Bito lunch which you had offered was not included in our rack room rate, after having seen your offering of this 'add-on' to all those who frequent Koi-Bito - it does come as a shock and huge surprise!

Huggies,

Lee

Dear Lee,

I understand. I really do. I'm sure the rest of the readers here will, too, when they read the rest of this.

You can't help yourself, can you?

Must be that influence from law school coming out. You lawyers are always stirring things up.

I am assuming you came up with this 'free lunch' thing from my post earlier in this thread. Dinh asked whether any Koi Bito members would be coming to the Louisville show. My response to dinh was:

"I'll be there. Mike Pfeffer, Mulberry Jen, Tim Cash and surely there will be other Koi Bito regulars show up. Maybe they'll chime in here & we can make a list. We could have a Koi Bito luncheon or something."

See any implication of taking any and all to lunch there?

Regarding all the extra activities and amenities to be provided at our home for you and Shelia, your room rate is safe. I'm afraid I did it to myself. You were given the complimentary free rate when you booked your reservation, so even if I DOUBLED the rate, it's still free.

Tell you what I will do, though. I'll make you an offer. I'll give you a 75% discount if YOU will take everyone to lunch!

.....and that would still include the visit to the famed Luther's wall, the visit to Three Chimney Farm to see Smarty Jones, races at Churchill Downs, the new puppy and last, but not least, the Torok pond tour.

How about that?

Your pal,
Dale
