URGENT HELP REQUIRED - BEST, QUICKEST TREATMENT 4 EXCESSIVE AMMONIA & NITRITE LEVELS!

Would Appreciate any recommended advice on what would be a quick and effective treatment for High Excessive Ammonia & Nitrite Levels. The oxygen levels r slightly down.

Also would anyone advice moving the fish from the pond environment until the levels have decreased?

try a 25 or 30 percent water change, then after that a 10 per every week

Yes i did that today, a 30% water change and have not fed them for 4 days. I just hope its not too late.

I was thinking of moving the fish, 1 Koi in particular but not sure if this would be the best course of action.

If there are any other treatments please let me know

Put some Amquel in. You should be able to get it at any koi shop or Petsmart.

Get the salt level to *I think* .015 to nuetralize the effects of the nitrites.

I dont think I would move any koi at this stage. The stress caused by moving it could kill it. Thats my opinion.

Use Ultimate water conditioner it will detoxify the Ammonia. lower pond water level, ( if you do not have an overflo) do a constant water drip into pond, this exchange will help to control water perimeters.
As J North said add salt, I would take the salt up to .03
I would not recommend moving fish to a new pond or tank, it will stress them out, and if it is a new setup you will have more problems on your hands.

Ok i wont be moving any of the fish then. Do you mean just add a certain amount of salt to the water levels?


My fish seem to congregrate either directly under the waterfall or towards edge of other side of the pond
