Check out some funky new koi!!!

So...got a few offbeat koi. A kin showa, kin ki showa, kujaku (Igarashi), yamatonishiki, platinum ogon.
Let me know what you like and don't like...maybe a future projection if you have one of these varieties. Thanks for looking.

Of the group, I like the Kujaku best. The pigment seems to be consolidating still. The scales are darker than I'd like to see in tosai, but I think you'll enjoy this one for a while.

Question Not much of a prognosticator, but...

My fave's for eye candy are the Kujaku and Yamatonishiki . No personal experience with either so predicting the future for them is best left to others.
I am a bit confused about one thing though. You identified the first two as showa. Maybe there's something I'm not seeing in the pix, but I would have called them Utsuri. What am I missing?

Talking There is no Yamatonishiki!

The Doitsu Sanke is a Hisei Nishiki (sp), a YamatoNishiki is a scaled platinum Sanke.

You are correct sir...thank you for the correction.
They seem to have three colors..as a showa. The kin showa actually has much better sumi than this picture shows...maybe a little stressed for the photo.
