Koi Festival @ Mystic Koi...

This weekend I went to the annual koi festival @ Mystic Koi in Upland, CA. I picked up a total of 5 jumbo tosai including two kohakus, one sanke, and a pair of koromos. They range in size between 10" and 14". Expect photos to be posted on my site soon...

Sounds like a cool event, did you get a chance to meet Nigel Caddock?

I really enjoyed talking koi with old friends and meeting a bunch of new friendly koi kichi's at Mystic koi this weekend. Mystic koi is a really nice well stocked koi shop. Their newest high tech koi display pond is awesome. They have a good selection of koi to buy and also lot of craft/art booths and live band music. The free lunch/drinks were greatly appreciated as well.

Bill and his entire team at Mystic koi could not have been better hosts. Great fun to hang out with the So. Cal crowd, Nigel and Sean, Gary Cryer, and of course Mike Shaw. Thanks Nigel for helping with the koi buying seminars and also the koi judging contest.

Also special thanks to Mystic koi for your generous fund raising efforts for Project KHV. Bill/Mystic koi has been a major contributor in the past and donated a new 1/3 hp WLim pump to be raffled as an incentive to anyone making a $10 or great contribution to Project KHV. The raffle is going to be continued for another week or so to maximize the contributions and then the lucky winner will be drawn. So if you are in the area please stop by and make a donation and get a chance to win the Wlim pump.

Sorry I missed it this year Bill .. The weather looked at bit cooler than last. I remember seeing Waddy burning in the heat... Or was it from those empty bottles on the grass ..
