Mike, I just noticed this comment about club sponsored magazine goes to make room for Rinko- timeless information. You do realize that Rinko was ZNA's magazine right? Kuroki was the editor for years. In fact of all the magazines that have come and gone, ZNA's magazine, under the names Rinko and Nichirin, are the longest running mags. There is endurance in an International association that may not be possible in private mags? JR

Koi-Bito 2006

Hello all with different aim and direction – Thanks for interesting reading and food for thought!

It’s easy on the net and if this where another setting many of (me included) would be labelled Pepping Toms.

That aside I received the news with a sad and well known notion, in my “world” very good quality often equals no profit and extinction. I sincerely hope that Brian can keep on and that whatever he chooses goes well for him.

The last article l have found on Koi-Bito is date 30/5 and if this is the future I’m even sadder.

The article was completely locked and gave no room for downloading. To get an interesting setting for me download outside normal use time of PC is a must since time is an asset.

I on a +2G line and this don’t secure anything, time and response is always dependent on users on a path to source. Assume dedicated lines to each user never have been the intention?

After reading through a second time I only have one question, and just for fun I will direct it to Bekko (no harm intended and mostly based on your contribution ~2 weeks ago, for all that take it please do respond)

My question can you answer my way a genuine Rembrandt has a higher value than an reproduction. The reproduction can&will often will be undetectable by naked eye or visual control. The reproduction is technical almost guaranteed of better technical specification (most normal way to be exposed). After answer this what would you value highest the reproduction or a digital copy of it?

So I take it I can stop looking out for my next copy from the postman then!

I'm always glad to get away from the PC now and then, reading from a screen is just not the same.

Oh well .............

Pretty sad to see people requesting refunds. All I can say is that it "was" fun while it lasted.

Brian,

I dont want a refund, if anything is going to be done online, can I just ask that it has a 'print' button nearby so I can read it on paper - LOL

Like many people, I've really enjoyed all of the magazines and they were without doubt the best there was on the market. In depth interviews getting really into the detail. I still re-read the two Omosako interviews occassionally, great reference material.

I think some folks may need to go back and look at the beginning of the thread and Brian's post. I believ ehe said August would be the telltale time and when his final assessments and decisions about where to go from here would be made. Breeding season is here, patience, patience.

True George, But in the mean time as nothing is happening a little input from the peanut gallery would be in order, not?

Good point scott. But, who told you nothing was happening? You have no idea how many folks are working their fingers to the bone to make good things happen. Well, maybe you do. Give him some time, lt the breeders experience a selling season. Help out by buying some koi and supporting the advertisers if u gotta buy something anyway. I stated before this magazine can only be as successful as we hlep Brian and his family to be, they have already made termendous sacrifices to bring this jewel to us.

I would like to thank Brian's wife and family who have sacrificed so much on this journey too. Thx!

I think we are all helping Brian out JG and I even did a magazine drive for him. Does Brian have support? Yes.

Last week I got my Nichirin, not quite the best magazine in the world but it had to suffice. I saw the KOI USA with a picture error on one of the articles..Now the magazine is goin to have to print a correction out of respect to the Japanese hobbyist who owns the fish not Andrew F.

I love the fact you can take a magazine anywhere. The fact that it is already printed for you is the convinece. I dont want to waste time in front of the computer printing out something that should be printed already.

As I said before I did a magazine drive, 75% of those people only got ONE magazine. I did the drive last year, what an ass I feel like when I see these people when I have to example why they got one issue. Here I am pushing the best koi magazine in the world and there is a problem with it.

In the end nothing would make me happier than to see a Koi-Bito magazine in the mail box, point blank!!!

Also, I would ask Brian why some subscribers are getting duplicate issues for one subscription.
