Congrats, Henry...and all the other winning bidders. Every fish went at a very fair price, especially with it being guaranteed female and "satisfactory" when harvested in the Fall for just another $100.

Sorry about that Dan. I actually placed a much higher bid but their auction software only increased the bid enough to surpase yours.

I did miss out on the Gin Rin Showa. Jen had explained to me that the auction was not suppose to close until after no bids had been placed for 5 minutes. That was the case with the Kohaku we were bidding on. It kept the Kohaku bidding open for 5 minutes after I placed my last bid, but it closed the bidding on the Gin Rin Showa 11 seconds after my last bid. Oh well, at least I'll get to see it come out of the mud this fall. I really didn't need more Koi. They were just too nice to pass up at those bargin prices.

Already have my plane, hotel and rental car reservations. MikeM is suppose to be coming along this time. If he backs out, I'm stealing his Sanke when it comes out of the mud.

Anyone know if this was the only auction or if there will be any more? I missed out on the asagi and shusui... Thanks! MJ

There are more asagi and shusui where they came from! So don't feel bad, you'll have another chance shortly....

Henry, about Mike's sanke, you did say we were gonna split with joint custody
on it right? Since Henry found it first he gets to keep it the first year.....

Hey, guys. I go out of town and you're already picking the pockets.

With that special Sanke and soon-to-be nisai coming out of the mud this Fall, I've got to find homes for a few.

MJ: Assuming there will be another auction, please bid early and high. I do not need to tempted any more!
