Sad to see your shipment like that, plus to see the person's name on the side of the box who shipped it is a disgrace...By the way, welcome to the board...

No No No !!!

No disgrace intended at all to the shipper, the fault lies with the airline that set something very heavy on top of the box.

I agree. The packer is not to blame, and nothing shows that he should be.

Shipping koi are risky. Its a pretty big gamble. I am sorry this happend to your koi but at least its alive. Delta Dash I have heard some stories from them. But many of our Beloved dealers are at he mercy if the Airlines. Not too many ship koi and Delta Dash is usually in a temp controlled cargo area..There are also Fedex whom I think have too many hands on the boxes but they seem to ship the smaller koi ok..

The bad part is it hurts the customer and the dealer.. If the fish arrived Dead the Dealer usually takes the hit...

Let the fish rest and hopefully your Q tank is all warmed up and ready to go. Warm water does amazing things to a koi..

Joe

Fed Ex is the best of all the shippers in my experience, airlines have idiots working for them. That box looks like it got wet too. I hope it was insured right???

The box had to have set out in the rain in Atlanta, the fish was triple bagged and there was absoutely no leak from the bags the koi was in. I'm sure the rain weakened the box and whatever they set on top of it crushed it.
