Even though it has the worst conformation of the bunch, I would choose koi D as champion. Exceptional shiro and hi quality. Definitely the most finished of the group. Also an interesting pattern. In the future, if A whitens up...the clear winner!!!

I think A has better conformation than B. I think it also has a more imposing appearance and a fuller pattern. I am not a fan of the more sparse pattern on B...Doesn't look as powerful to me.

I feel B would be the better future fish especially because of the conformation! Seen that fish somewhere before? But from the pic, D grabs my eye quickly because of the colors being bright and pretty, I don't know about conformation though? Would be even better if it more in the case of a size 1 going against a size 2. From what I've seen at shows, judging happens fast and fish has to stand out like a pretty girl. In this case it's pretty fish to catch the attention of the judge in my humble opinion.

I like "B" because of the balance of the pattern. C and D is too busy and small for me. The bigger the koi the more i like a nice big pattern. I can never tell the quality from a picture so I can't say about A...it might very well have been my choice especially after I saw them swim......

The pic of B is poor and may exaggerate the first glance appearance of poor shiro/sashi. That being said I think it has the best combination of body conformation, balance, and pattern.
A & C seem to be bleeding hi all over the place, C & D have very interesting patterns and better picture quality, but D's pointy nose knocks it down a bit even though the shiro and Beni both look pretty good.
