Will be working with shiro utsuri fry for the first time this year. Should be interesting.

have run out of room at the bluebbery farm and may end up doing just the shiro spawn this year...always full of delightful surprises...

I am realizing that each day that I visit the farm. I brought home a scoop to watch grow and am amazed at how fast they are changing now at 9 weeks.
Very few are showing actual emerging sumi but most shiro fry are all presenting with underlying sumi. I hope that this is a normal trait at this stage. Am also seeing a number of showa popping up here and there as well as ki utsuri and a few others that I am not quite sure about yet. Then there are those marvelous kawarimono. You already know that I have a soft spot for the unusual. Am sure that I will be working this pond well into December. Please PM me when you start seeing some results. I would love to start makeing some notes and some comparisons. Talk to you later Dick.
