| I'm the only poor guy in a high falutin area of NJ! 3 1/4 acres in North NJ. ( Morristownship, Harding/New Vernon). Deer, bear, coyote, hawks, turkeys and trees- lots of trees. In fact, go to Nigel Caddock's book Still Water's ( pg 211) that backdrop was taken in my yard. The snow picture I posted is also in my yard ( daughter and my husky, Nikki) My property backs up to Jockey Hollow National Park- the spot George Washington's soldiers trained on- the area where the soldier hunts were and the training ground itself was are in this 100 acre plue federal park- just a short walk from my back gate. It is also the location of one of the main Lanape Indian tribes. It is not unusual to find an indian arrow head on my and my neighbors' properties when excavating. We also have within three miles, a place know as the Great Swamp. Many hundreds of acres of marsh land where ducks and geese rest over the migration, very cool sight in the fall and spring. And the wild aquatic plant life diversity is unbelievable. You can hike for days in these two areas. And best of all, I can be at a Broadway show, the world's best art galleries, the Museum of Natural history, the Met or dining at la Bernardin in 40 minutes - door to door. Life is good in New Jersey.
Dinh, that's " O, New Jersey? Which exit off the Turnpike?" |
