Microscope for Mother's Day!

A microscope is what I wanted for Mother's Day.
I picked this one;

Did I pick wisely? It seems to be a nice one, but I'm not an expert.

Hopefully I won't every have to use it, but hey it's good to be prepared!

Hopefully you will learn to use your microscope well. I know people that will throw medication inot their pond if a Koi flashes a few times. Not knowing what is wrong, how can you pick the right medication. It can be a true lifesaver to scope a fish when it flashes and find nothing. Medications can kill as well as heal.
Good luck and happy hunting.

Nice selection. Yes it will do the trick - only if you learn how and USE IT!! Don't wait for the time when you know you should - practice with it a bit before hand - it will pay dividends. As much as I hate to say it, Doc Johnson's book has some pretty good images of what different parasites look like and what power level to set your scope to to see them - most are best viewed at 40X.

I've been practicing focusing just using the pond water. Lots weird stuff to look at, but mostly just algae.

As far a practicing scraping a fish, well I've got to get up the courage to net one first! lol!
Maybe I'll try one of the goldfish first. If I mess up and kill it, well there are still too many GF in there anyway. JK, I probably wouldn't kill it, just freak it out.

Mostly I got it so if I need help from our esteemed KHA, Sanjiv, I'd have one on hand.
Hopefully I won't need it.

And I'm too chicken to put anything in the pond, except de-clor, without an expert on hand, at least the first few times.
