We have no Fathers Day here until September!

But, my lil girl turns one this week, I will enjoy Fathers Day by association with you guys.

I agree with all that's been said about spending time with family. Koi are great, but IMHO, nothing replaces time with the family. I did the cooking, they came, they ate and they left (or went to bed) after visiting for the evening. Was just like old times. I had a great time. Hope all of you had a great day too!! Sounds like it! Nice to see that Fathers get a little sentimental at times!LOL

We were at a fencing meet in Las Vegas on Father's day. It was a Grand Prix which is a a world cup with a team competion. The person that usually anchors the US team comp had a hangover or something so my daughter was the anchor. She fenced so well.
She got up to fence the last five points of the team bout. The US team was down 38-40 against the Russians. Bex had to fence Velikaia who is the #1 FIE Ranked woman in the world. To win Bex had to make 7 points to Velikaia's 5.
Becca made one point. The Russian made one. Bex scored again. blah blah The Russian then got the score to 44-41.
My daughter ran off four points in a row and won. It was amazing. She was so happy. My hub had the sight of his life, his kid flourishing under pressure. She didn't win the competition alone but she certainly brought it to an exciting finish. The last touch was amazing. It was pretty kewl.
Both my husband and I were shooting it. (cameras not guns)
It was quite a day.
