Thought I'd change gears tonight and give u a peak at some of the other thangs that we grow down here on the farm

One of the things we do when we git tired of watching the bug zapper is
go pleco eggin. Basically we dive the canals and lakes in the area at night harvesting Plecoctimus eggs found in deep borrows along the banks.

We bring them back and set them up in the hatching houses were the eggs are air rolled for a few days until the little suckers hatch. We fatten them up for another 5 or 6 days and send em to the ponds for grow out.

on this sid eof the coast in the c-54 canal the "new Americans" cast net for them...they don't get caught in the cast net the normal way..they get tangled in it....

The lake will be done shortly after I get the JG version of the LakeLuke Pump.
I am enjoying the hell out of it though..if you go to the koishack you can see a thread where I catch and clean and have the woman that thinks she is married to me cook and then I eat the the unworthy.

cool pics! first time ive seen pleco eggs! Here in some parts of our country they are considered pests a they can overwhelm the local fish population. Also the nets can get destroyed by being snagged with them. There is a city here that is actually paying people by the pound to get them out of the river

I do have two huge red pleco and those things just dont die here hahaha you can leave them in 2 inches of water overnight and theyll still be swimming the next day
