Finally, the pieces are fried again and then seasoned to taste, often with salt. In some South American countries, the name 'tostones' is used to describe this food when prepared at home and also plantain chips (mentioned above), which are typically purchased from a store.

Jorge,

Your word. So what do you wanna do now: Change the meaning?
In the super secret world of intrigue Bungle lives in the dictionaries use the same words as the rest of us, but the definitions are all written in code with invisible ink that can only be read under special FIR lights... but don't tell anybody

waiting for my 8 am meeting to begin----- soooo-----

I think it was Tom who commented about the foam in some brands of solar salt that is advertised as being 99.9% pure-
I have also noticed that fromn time to time- a really cruddy looking foam as the salt hits the water- One thing is for sure it is NOT DOC from the water! It is something in the bag- can't say what and can't say I've ever seen any problem from it- but it is a bit disturbing the first time you see it!

On the micro/macro nutrient comments- It is my understanding that koi get the needed minerals from diet and the metabolic calcium, potassium and chloride from surround water. In this case, the mineral content and micro nutrient act as catalysts as much as metabolites. In the diet, the ingested macro nutrient is in the form of minerals, vitamins etc.

Just finished chowing down on some grilled plantains grown right here. They were delicious, sorry that your dictionary is incomplete Don. Looks like you are not as educated on some things as you presume. When you live down here for ten years like me, you can start teaching me about the food and culture. So sorry the food and culture here does not fit in your dictionary or googlability. You do know there is life outside of your circle of friends and their circles of thoughts don't you? Any more great and insightful things you would like to assume about me and express as fact to others? Have a nice day, as usual.

Talking

I like plantains lightly breaded and deep fried, tempura style. Chrysanthemum leaves are good that way, too...
