Mulberryjen's new Kohak....

Here are pics of Jen's new Kohak.

Breeder: Sakai Isawa
Size: 26cm
Sex: unknown
Age: Tosai
Diet: Kawaguchi Sweet Potato pellets

I kinda nicknamed the fish..."Kentucky Rose". Maybe by Sept this fish will have the chance to be judged by Toshio himself.

Antonio - that fish rocks!!!!

Man, what an awesome surprise I had waiting for me when I checked Bito this morning - Kentucky Rose!

I'm loving those big shoulders and the proportion of the head, thick beni, and your taste in pattern (as always.) I think I can hear that fish growing from here.

Hmm, trip out to Cali for the Sac show may be requirement now......

Can't thank you enough, Tonio. Love it.

Jen

wow, very beautiful young kohaku indeed. It must be Tony, who picks that good one... how come we did not see that at June ZNA NorCal meeting;-))

Now, Kentucky Rose, sounds so temptation.... nothing is impossible, this can reach to Nationals Koi Show GC in the future if the keeper knows what to do with it... who knows? BTW, will there any nationals koi show in the future? if not, any idea? I would love to see a Nationals Koi Show in the near future... I believe that America can do it and will do it best....

Hi Dinh,

It was at the June ZNA Norcal meeting. It was the last kohaku I sold that day.

Waiting to see how long it takes for Jen to change kohaku pics on her thread...
I like toshio's stuff very much.....very pretty koi!

Jen found a new book for you to get to read by your pond....It's called sWORD AND BLOSSUM...BASED ON SOME 800 LOVE LETTERS BETWEEN AN ENGLISH OFFICER AND A JAPANESE WOMAN IN THE EARLY 1900's, dual authors Peter Pagnamenta and Momoko Williams. I can't set it down...
