Smile A New Kohaku for Marie

Well guys, I think I may have found a kohaku for me--and I'm pretty excited about it. I really like the pattern and conformation of this koi. It's still a baby--6" or thereabouts, but I think it's a hopeful. What do ya'all think?

Talking Go for it!

I think you are right, it has a nice clean head, the shiroji is very white and the pattern and confirmation are good. Enjoy!

Nice kohaku, Marie . . .

very clean with good conformation. Now the challenge begins to grow it to it's maximum potential. Good luck!

*big smile* Thanks you guys. She'll be arriving just about the same time I get my new camera (the old Mavica finally gave up its digital ghost), so I'll get some new and better pics to you at that time.

Yep Tonio, you betcha I'll be updating with pics as this koi develops. And Don, I think I'm finally confident enough to go the distance it will take to bring it to its maximum potential. The new pond is big enough, the water quality is manageable, and I'm by far not overstocked nor do I plan to be. I've got the nutrition thing down to a science (well, my science *L*) as the koi I have left after Autumn are growing and improving by leaps and bounds, even my homely Jumanji (ginrin ochiba) has a body now and is more elegant than I ever imagined he could be.

So--the adventure continues....

Marie
