9th "Annual " young fish show

for puget Sound Koi Club (pronounced pew-jet) is scheduled for August 5th and 6th on the grounds of Hoshi koi, Puyallup, Washington. Larry and pat christianson are judging if they manage to survive from their own koi show in Portland the weekend before. ( Pat is pres and Larry is show chair ) It comes on the heels of portland so quick that if i didn't mention it we'd be on to Spokane before you know it. BTW Puallup is pronounced pew wall lupp and is minutes off the I-5 corridor near tacoma washington. Puget Sound is the oldest club in washington state and boasts of founding fathers the likes of which is Eddy Fujimoto who also published Koi USA a few moons back. It is a small friendly show and all are welcome to attend. Somebody who likes asagi's is benching.....

I had a wonderful time at this show last year and encourage anyone wanting to see some beautiful koi and hang out with really nice koi people to check it out.

Young Koi show keeps us all coming back for more. Really a lot of fun, venue is excellent and the host club puts on quite a nice show. This year I'll travel with Sharon (my better half) just to keep an eye on Dick (he seems to always send Sharon home with a new koi or two from this show)! This year we have just a couple of koi to show, in prior years always some really great koi to marvel at, so pack 'em' up and enter that koi. Who knows, if you all come to the show maybe Dick will get you set-up with a few new koi as well!

Stacey, i think if you head south on I-5 to just about the Tacoma dome, you could make it to Hoshi Koi in Puyallup in about 2 hrs. I know Bill blackburn said he would try and get down to say hello. Bill was active member in seattle club for a decade or so and was always in the running for GC in Portland and seattle. Interesting guy to talk to. Former PNKCA chairperson Jerry Tyler and his wife will be there. She is cracy about lots of animals and birds and Jerry like myself loves his Bonsai. It's a small show but think you'll
like it. My friend gene anderson from Idaho will be there. Beautifull gigantic indoor pond and great koi. He and his buddy dan from Spokane have had many trips to japan and interesting to chat with.

from the comments on the portland show thread, it sounds like finding people can be a challenge if you don't know what they look like. I have a gift ZNA Head Judges Hat that kentaro's Dad gave to me a few years back that I wear. It's bright red, in case you need to find me at Puyallup or Spokane.....

Was 18 inches and under last couple years. Originally was under 16inches first 5-6 years. Dick will correct me if I'm wrong.
