How does it feel? Ya got that feeling of accomplishment? Ya feel like you have learned about how to raise asagi? Got some understanding of how to control the water in your area so it doesn't ruin asagi? Finally understand how to prepare a koi for a show?
CONGRATS!

Way to go Dick (Don't get me wrong, I am referring to the person named "Dick" here.)

Boy ya sure know how to P*** on someone's parade. What's the big deal anyway...it's a koi show and lots of newly purchased koi show up, many purchased the night before, or the day of, at the show. Birdman is just proud is all...nothing wrong with that. I'm sure he is more addicted now because of it. Congratulations to him.....and my good friend Dick.

DITTO!!!

The guy is just getting started in the hobby and you dump on him!>?!?! What's up with that? One hobbyist trying to help another is what it's all about. I was at the show and what you imply is totally off base Luke.

I think this is an example of what turns a lot of newbis in the koi hobby off, I think the win for steve will if nothing else give him a higher bar to shoot for as far as water quality and keeping these Koi in show condition, getting someone excited about the hobby and helping the new guy out is IMHO what the koi hobby needs more of, again my hats off to anyone that will take the time to help the new guy learn to take care of his water and koi better

Stacey,
I think you hit the nail on ther head with Steve.....the challenge to keep those two koi up to standard so he can bring them to Portland or Roseburg
next year will definetely be a challenge. good for his learning curve.

Steve if all my students were as excited about learning as you are then I'd be a happy teacher. It was my priviledge to lend a hand and i wish you as much sucesss with your koi as you have achieved with your birds.....

I'm just happy to see anyone support a show and then take the koi home, get them properly settled and start working on them for next year. This hobby is so vast when it comes to knowledge that you can go as far as you want to.

Birdman took me over and showed me the fish. He was so proud. He also said that Dick may have had more of them. It was really nice to see so many fish.
I was following a lecture about koi and what made them win for a while and learned quite a bit. It was a good show.

Thumbs up Yo Birdman and Dick B.

Attaboys all the way around . Great way to start a new true blue traditon . The Birdmans Koi keeping skills will be accellerated as he learns from the Blue Sifu master .
Passing on a great tradition and skill is an excellent thing.

Luke , get over it. You're getting nowhere with cheapshots on this one. Trying to make this into some kind of imaginary "rich guy bringing in a ringer" load of BS just isn't going to fly .

Does this mean we have to be polite all the time now that the server has made you a switch hitter I was FINALLY getting used to JOHN and now it's JOAN . Damn!!!, I was sipping a nice dark beer and doing just fine, but now I'm gonna have to switch to scotch to settle my nerves (I just hope they don't turn me into a PeePeeBear )

1st of all the Asagi is my favorite koi. When I had a chance to get a couple raised by Dick, knowing his blue reputation I jumped at it. Winning with them was just the icing on the cake. And yes, I'm allready thinking of the shows next year. But please. all the credit goes to Dick, I was just at the right place at the right time.
