ZNA Mag, June issue, ran an article on "Koi Doraku". it's about this Japanese guy making a business out of breed/sell koi for aquarium. check out his setup. he definitely doesn't have 800 gals bio filter and his aquarium is around 240 liters.

Well, here the low down on this tank. My friend lives in a mobile home park in which he can not build a outdoor pond. What he did instead was build his filter system under the house. So the system is like this:

Under the house:
1-6ft show tank as settling. 350 gals
2-160gal kormex oval tanks with J-Mat
2-120gal kormex oval tanks with J-Mat

In the house:
1-advance beadfilter
1-tetra preasure filter

Keep telling him to build bigger but he cant due to HOA...
