Thank you Mike, But I thought most people called it a swim bladder, because that is what it is..
Anyway Dinh, if the fish does indeed have (swim Bladder) she is better off being put to fishie heaven. I remember about 4 years ago, Eastern had a 32" yamabuki, she fought so hard to come up for air.. it was sad to see her on the bottom all the time. But she did eat and did not seem to be suffering. But if it was my fish I would always wondered if she was in any pain.. So I would put her down.
Frank and I had a really b-i-t-c-h-e-n Budo Goromo, I am serious I have never seen one with the puriest white and the beautiful grape color. Anyway she was in several shows and won best in size 4 and best in class. Well one day we go out back and she looks a little swollen on her left side, so we kept an eye on her. Within 2 months it became huge, we had Dr. Rob Hildreth come look at her. We already new the answer but didn't want to do, what we new we had to do. So Rob comfirmed our thoughts she had a tumor. We talked and watched her for the next couple weeks. Finally we both said it is time, you see we both kept wondering is she in pain. Hell we would not let our dogs suffer, and they can tell you if they are in pain. So we put her down, I think it was one of the hardest things I have ever done concerning our koi. She was just so beautiful and we got so much enjoyment out of her. So sometimes we have to think of the pet, and not ourselfs.
