Never thought of stuffing my dead fish, read in one of the old KOI USAs some lady stuffed her lemon hariwake...I personally to like to look at the past, just like to keep pressing on.

Koi Make Beautiful Roses

Now that we've determined that taxidermy isn't practical, I'll share that we've lost a few over the years and have come to this conclusion:

Plant your RIP koi under a nice rosebush - when you see the roses next spring you'll have a beautiful memory!! I've actually purchased rose bushes for just that reason to dedicate to a special fish. Corny but it works for me.

I find that if you stuff them with crab and use a light vinigrette sauce, it is marvelous.
