Big Brown Koi update.

This first pic.for me, is of a most unusual koi. Dont know how well the colors will show up but the darker color is a deep chocolate brown. Really interesting. The rest are a few of her buddy's we've been keeping in the back yard for a daily youngster fix. ;D

The big brown Koi is just a chagoi, it is not very unusual. You don't see many that dark as they are usually culled.

Thanx for the info Russell. First one I've seen though and I've seen a few.
Guess that's why I found it unusual. Think I'll keep her around for a bit, just to see what develops.

Not as fast growing as yours, but we kept them anyway just for grins. Ours really lighten up to olive/tan in a light colored background, but darken in a hurry in a black liner pond. I think Chagoi must be Koispeak for Chameleon
