Those are blanket statements about an entire people. Very hateful and an attempt to punish generations and not perpetrators. It is senseless hate. I for one am very offended. JR

---and need I remind you Stan, that the entire Japanese population paid the price for their barbarism and aggression 100 times over- it was called the atomic bomb.
NO people have PAID more for their actions than the Japanese. They were barbarically aggressive and they were punished in kind. How much more retribution do you want? 'Money' maybe?? Disgusting- JR

JR,
I admit that my statement 'blanket' a group of people, which is stronger that what I normally do. However, if you follow the forced prostitution cases, and look at the kind of 'support', or smearing they have been getting in Japan, I believe even the japanese who give their hands to those un-fortunate people will have to agree with my comments.

I don't hate people, there is no reason to. I just want to point out the dark sides of a story. We for one don't understand the feeling of those who suffered, but given the resistance many Asian countries put up against Japan's intension to become permanent member of the UN security council, I have to conclude that justice has not been served.

How hard is it for the rulers or goverment (of Japan) to formally apologize for the suffering they brought during second world war ? Given all the proofs, there is no reason not to. Maybe their racial pride really get them.

JR,
you think the same way the Japanese goverment is thinking: money can buy everything. If that is true, Japanese should have the best friends in Asia, but they don't. Asian countries worries a about a strong Japan, they worry about a repetition of WWII, why ? Japan have not admit any guilt !

It is unfortunate that atomic bomb have to be used to end the war. The innocent japanese people paid the price, but the person the war was fought for, the Emporor of Japan, has not apologized for the disaster his followers brought upon innocent people.
I recall the mayor of one of the cities atomically bombed, I believe it is hiroshima, nayway, apologized for the war, he was very un-popular in Japan for that.

BTWm you 100x yardstick is a bit out of the norm when come to suffering, do you agree ?

Racial, I just like to ask you this question : can you be racial against your family ? Go get a life JR, you are a fool.

Stan,

back in 1995, then Prime Minister Murayama made public apologies for Japanese acts of agression during WWII. The apologie was since then repeated by Prime Minister Hashimoto in 1998, Obuchi in 2000, and later on Koizumi. Also Japan has made available money to compensate victims of the Japanese agression in the WWII.

Maybe you should get the facts straight!

Regen, that is what they want everyone to believe, if you read the lines, those are not apologies, no where close. about compensation, ya right, but why aren't the forced prostitutes getting anything ? maybe you should enlighten me on that.

A sincere apology should come from the 'heaven King' of Japan, cause the war was fought under that title.
