Thanks Mike

MikeM Thankyou for your input on feeding my fish. I know that there must be better food than tetra but you are right, for now the fish are fine and water is clean. I spent alot of money on the growth food this summer with a mix of the others I plan on switching to a better food when I know a little more about it. The next box will be spring and fall mix.

My wife and I come to Orlando 2-3 times a year we like to go to ESPN club for superbowl. We have been going for about five years now in a row.

We rent a house in Davenport quite often...

Before I answer that question I've got to say I REALLY like that pic. The frogs in our pond haven't learned how to play checkers yet . And the unique variety of Rush in the background of that shot is the same as the one my wife picked up for ours just yesterday
Lithaqua is a carbonate enhancer and biomedia combined, so I don't see why it would be too late for some. One thing I'm certain of is that it goes to work in a HURRY. My filtration on the remodeled pond kicked off in record time, due in part to seeding the filters with live media from the temporary pond I'm sure, but I think the Lithaqua did make a difference in performance. Our water is in better condition than ever and our Koi's appetites are voracious.

I'm glad to hear you like the Lithaqua. Gee, you mean that someone actually found a dealer-recommended product that wasn't snake oil. Incredible huh!?

Hi John,

You can try locating a club near you and contacting them for info on wet labs.

http://www.akca.org/

You might also check with the ZNA clubs also....
I found this one:
http://www.znaska.org/

Another source is Koivets home page. Doc J generally has some kind of list up for different areas with dates and contact info!

As for the scope, try Precision World at Ebay!
This is the model I bought and I really like it:

Microscope Question

How high of a magnification is needed on a microscope for koi scrapes. In the archives I found a recommendation of a 40x - 1600X. Is that overkill, or what I need.

thanks

Mike
