Any future on this Showa??

My friend just wants to know is this a good fish to keep. He bought this fish in March and (HE/SHE) grew over 3" in his 240 gallons aquarium tank. He's planning to bring this one to Camellia Show in Oct-1 at size 4. What do you all think about the future of this fish? thanks

I cannot tell the quality of the Hi from the photo. Otherwise, I like it very much. There is more Sumi to come. It appears nicely balanced, creating a very attractive pattern. The body shape is quite good, although I'd guess it is male. Give him a pond with some companions and I believe you will see improvement over the next couple of years. Whether it is a long term keeper depends on the Hi.

Thumbs up

All 3 colors on the head, nice motogoro..excellent pattern!! I think it will come down to hi quality...so, time will tell. Beautiful fish though...definitely worth the pond space.
