Fish for critique . . .

I stopped by Champ today and saw this little guy. My friend was tempted to take it home. What do you all think?

Talking If the price was right

It could turn out to be a very nice pond addition. The body doesn't look to me to be show potential, but if the beni doesn't break up (the middle looks like it could to me) it could be very attractive.

DCNY

Last time I checked (a couple of weeks ago), the tosai on hand were all Ogata fish. Tom hasn't brought in any Sakai Isawa for quite some time (last fall I think).

I agree with papabear. The hi on the left lateral line will break up. Look closely at the sashi and kiwa. It's already starting.

I saw the fish a couple of times when I was Champ. I would prefer for the maki(that term for Keokoi) , to wrap a little deeper on the right side of the fish. By all means the pattern is cool looking, flowery, but since it is already late into the season for tosai I would pass on it...unless it was at a super nice price.

The beni is kinda thin in places(from what I see in person), so it tells me this also would be one fish to pass on. There is a Sanke in the same tank that is a bit higher in quality. If I a pic I will post.
