A seems to stand out at first glance, but C has better conformation? I'll take A the egot-goi!

In the same spirit that Russ clarifies "modern showa" to help our readers learn, I might venture that if i wanted to win a first or best in size I would enter "A" BUT

I love to garner the Tategoi award and i think the Sanke might have a good shot at that!

I'd go C. It has the best conformation and that the biggest part of showing koi.

Besides I suspect the sumi is more finished on C then the photo shows. The pic on photo A is better and has no glare on the water. This make that photo stand out more then the others. But photos B and C have glare on the water making the sumi look lighter, but I bet side by side C is the better fish.

I'll take C first then A. Just don't like B as much because I think the head is small. It just bothers me. Pic A is a nice fish, but I prefer C. Fish C has the better body conformation of the two. That's just my two cents. It also depends on how the show is being judged, whether it is AKCA or ZNA.
