Having a hard time bringing myself to take these guys back to the mud.
Brought them home at about 2 inches. Will probably send them back next week. Thought I'd grab some shots before they go.

I will sometimes pick a handful of fry to bring home from the farm to watch and study their growth, especially with an unproven pair of parents. This helps me get an idea of how well or how fast or even how slowly a certain pairings offspring will develop. After I have established what I can at home, I return them to the mud ponds to continue their growth and development, as it provides far more than I can offer them for their continued progress.

Yeah I know.......Every now and again we get a group at the house that everyone gets attached to. Am already getting the evil eye from my twin girls about their departure.
