Question Question about bamboo and koi..safety??
I am building my new pond. Instead of a traditional waterfall, I made a bamboo fountain that is comfortably handling 5,600 gal/hr. Looks pretty cool too!!! My question (which I should have asked first)..is water running through bamboo safe for koi? I assumed it was...but figured I should be 100% sure. Thanks for the info.

These ponds are full of bamboo sticks, bamboo leaves and goose crap. The koi do not seem to mind.
