Russ you are 50% right and 50% wrong. The Pronunciation is correct but the spelling is wrong when it is spelled (lin).

Japanese R's have more of an L sound to it. Probably one of the most difficult sounds to make while speaking it. It reminds me of Spanish rolling the R but again it is not an R sound.

I have to disagree. The Japanese can not pronounce R's so it sounds like L. It is still Gin-Rin.

Russ, I disagree with you on this one, but hey what do I know, I am sure you are more versed on the Japanese language then I am. I seriously doubt that all of those AKCA judges could have been so stupid to pronouce it incorrectly all these years.

Again 50% right and 50% wrong....

The Spelling in Romanji is Gin Rin

The pronunciation is is Gin Lin.. Japanese Romaji letters do not have (L) but they do have R so why is it that they know how to Pronounce (L)? Because in their consonants R is Prounced.. as L

BNkoi thanks for the pics and sorry for the hijack thread..

'Gin Rin' is actually Chinese, both pronouciation, 'Rin' and 'Lin' are wrong, but they are damn close.
