Talking Ojiya bound PSKoi!

I dropped off the guys at SFO yesterday morning. They had a 12pm flight, arriving at Narita at 3pm (Friday). After customs they'll have taken the train to Tokyo Station, then the Shikansen to Nagaoka. Chiaki and Tadashi Hosokai were picking them up and taking them to Ojiya... long time to travel, but well worth it!! Wish I were there ! I haven't heard from them yet, and with the time difference I'm thinking the Koi-Bito forum will hear from them before I do!!!

well good luck kari...many years ago when my kids were small I would always haunt the t-shirt shops at narita as i waited for my return flight to bring home some gifts they could wear....seeing toshio's #1 pond will be a "hoot"
saturday. Recall one year when a showa didn't come out of it one drainage and we discovered the skeleton in the mud after walking around the pond.

I think I know about half the group that's gonna be there....so will be there in spirit

Eric have a chocolate chip for me, too....

now we wait for photos.....

wait for news...

Thanks, Dick! YOu sound like me at the airport...that is the only time that we have to shop for souveniers for the kids (koi nets just aren't that meaningful to them ). I have been to the Matsunosuke #1 pond pull 2 times, and it was amazing. Watching them move so many monster size fish was a little scary! Can you image dropping one??? You know you are a koi nerd when you can identify the crowd at a Sakai pull.
