This years harvest from the San Jose triad.....

Looking at all the pics so far the quality of the koi seem to be better this year...Last year to me was a lack luster for all dealers, or maybe the ones who brought in big fish.

This year seems to be better, made a trip down to ChampKoi today and saw part of the Niigata shipment that came in...I liked it, they also have shipments coming in until the end of the week...Of course these fish wont be ready until after QT....There are a few Kohak's I am considering, since I havent bought anything this past season. Kevin just flew in today and havent talked to him., maybe tomorrow I will talk to him....Tse koi, will be getting their fish in second week of Nov...havent talked to him yet maybe tomorrow...

You are right Antonio. Tom brought in 41 boxes yesterday and they were coming in very strong and healthy condition. These were Tom first shipment from Niigata and I would say that they are from 6 different breeders. Tom will receive another 68 boxes from Ogata on Thursday and also another 29 boxes on Friday from Niigata. Yep, there are some nice Gosanke that i really like, but I'll wait for the rest of the fish get here. Antonio, are you going to come to Champ tommorrow?

I helped out with Champkoi shipment today from Ogata and very nice fish...Even the Showa Erwin tired to put on hold was in it....All the gang showed up from Nathan, Don, Dinh, David, Charlie, Khoung...We kinda talked about this harvest and compared notes on what we have seen... I put a Sanke on hold with Tom, Sanke is from Miyatora...For the quality that was offered I took a chance on it...Probably have a talk with Kevin tomorrow, he was still asleep when I went by there today...Didnt want to bother him jetlag you know...Anyways...This is my play by play of what hobbyist do when the goods start coming in...
