For 150 big ones I would rather buy a Ferrari .

I know of a local hobbyist who bought a 84cm jumbo Rose on a trip to Sakai Hiroshima with a dealer for about 4 million Yen. An All Japan adult champion changed hands recently for less than 3 million Yen. If I'm not mistaken, the asking price for the Rose Queen sold by Pan InterCorp which eventually won the All Japan 80bu kokugyo prize was $65k. $150k seems pretty steep unless its skin quality, beni and shiroji are exceptional. If this kohaku is that good, it should be an All Japan contender. Sheer size alone don't command such a premium .

This picture was taken about three hours after the Kohaku was pulled from the mud. When we saw it a week later in Isawa it had very white skin.
