Dangi has inspired a couple of members of my club to consider the E-Mag route. What we will be proposing is to provide one quarterly (at least).
We reckon that by stripping out or modifying the purely in-house stuff we can have enough content to make it worth while.

So there you go. You can chalk up a success story for Koi-Dangi - an inspiration to an established club.

Now, can you please confirm what it means. I feel it deserves a mention in our new E-mag.

I second that. The newsletter is pretty much a one man show. I know Steve puts alot of time and effort into koi-dangi and it's very much appreciated by the membership.

The newsletters are really excellent- well done! Bern, I do like the idea of a printed version of a ZNA newsletter, however. Not that I'm old fashioned but rather, ZNA is about education within a local chapter. Each chapter is responsible for a physical region and the goal is to raise the level of understanding about koi husbandry and koi appreciation - often as an apprenticeship program. The certified local judge ( each chapter should have local certified judges in a direct ratio to the membership of that chapter) is simply a more informed amateur and the next step in specializing in koi appreciation. The printed newsletter seems to be hand in hand with teh idea of a physical chapter and regional identity.
In the spite of this 'friendship through scales', we try and respect other regions and not prospect new members from other chapter regions. What is encouraged is the support for other chapters including taking their local magazines and newsletters in order to foster relationships among chapters.
