the November issue of Koi Dangi - the newsletter of the NORCAL ZNA.
It appears like a 'Who's who' of KoiBito, I think I recognised more names there than I sometimes do in my own mag.
Good to see you guys making progress.

Thanks Bern,
Koi Dangi is the name of our ZNA NorCal monthly Newsletter.... Steve E. is our Newsletter Editor, who is also a KB member.... Plz let us know if you have any suggestion for making it better. Just wonder how do you like the name of the Newletter, Koi Dangi?
Do you know what's Koi-Dangi mean? Whoever got it right first, I will send him/her softcopy of August, September, October, and Novermber Koi-Dangi issues.....

My understanding is that the NorCal Chapter is a relatively new club in the US.
My clubs is a relatively old one in the UK (formed 1981). We have a newsletter which is distributed to members at meetings and we have reciprocal arrangements with many clubs both foreign and domestic for an exchange of them. However, it is an exchange of paper.
Dangi has inspired a couple of members of my club to consider the E-Mag route. What we will be proposing is to provide one quarterly (at least).
We reckon that by stripping out or modifying the purely in-house stuff we can have enough content to make it worth while.
So there you go. You can chalk up a success story for Koi-Dangi - an inspiration to an established club.
Now, can you please confirm what it means. I feel it deserves a mention in our new E-mag.
In Niigata, during the winter it was very common for the breeders to gather around the charcoal and sip Cha ( or something stronger) and talk of koi. What oyagoi they wanted to upgrade or loan etc. Winter was a great time to plan...great name for a newsletter....
I have to give props to Steve E for his hard work in making this newsletter work. I think the E-Route has saved our club alot of money from mailing(postal)...
