Actually, Larry I think the fish is closer to Dainichi bloodline(Yagenji)...Because of the sashi it maintained when it was 5 years old and scarlet red beni. Honestly I bought the fish from TSEKoi, I got it for $250 at 16 inches. It was 18" when it won at it's fish show. 21" when it won mature champ at Gardena. 24" when it passed on.

Considering the pricetags I've seen on lesser Koi you stole that one. Wish it was still with us so we could admire it at 30".

Obviously, this is a glamor shot but I thought it would be fun to throw out there for the sake of discussion.
Male Kyogoi-bu All-round Award (Kokugyo Prize)
Upper-house Chairman Award
Yamanashi Prefecture Governor Award
90-bu Male Kohaku
36th All-Japan Combined Show

Bred by Okayama Momotaro Koi Farm of Mitsu-cho, Okayama Prefecture. Bought by Odakan Koi Farm of Oimachi, Kanagawa Prefecture, nisai, 57 cm, where it caught the eye of Mr. Iizuka. Subsequently kept in Oimatsuda Pond of Odakan, receiving Kokugyo awards in both the 33rd and 34th Shows. Kept in Momotaro's 1,500 to Pond after gosai, and won it's third Kokugyo award in a row for the 35th Show at 79cm. Subsequently kept in Oimatsuda Pond, and last year transferred to Mr. Iizuka's 150 Heated Pond from November of last year. Won its first Section All-Round Kokugyo Award in its fourth year. Nanasai, 87 cm.
