No, Im not ever.

I dont really see a reason to be afraid.

oh.....

I see, you are afraid for your sake.
You have made a bond with it, and you are afraid if you can afford it or not.
Was I right, or no?

Ummm, no. I resent it.

If there isn't a price posted I get the feeling that the price changes from customer to customer. I don't like that feeling. So I usually don't ask and don't bother looking further.

Guess it's a quirk.

When our Koi come in we catalogue all of them. We try to have tanks of Koi that are all the same price and we post that price. We do have tanks of Koi that are individually priced as well. If you don't see a price you should ask because we take pictures of all the individually priced Koi and have an album you can look at. The prices do not change.

Personally, I don't mind askig how much stuff is. It let's me know the dealer a bit more personal and usually leads into talking about the fish and then its education time. Do remember that is the dealers Job is to shout out prices to you. Looking at a book of koi pics with prices seems like shopping online. I guess I liek good ole fashioned customer service.

I like the term... Don't ask questions your not ready to hear the answer too.

Good Luck to all this Fall buying season!

What does having Koi pictures with pricing have to do with not providing customer service? We will spend as much time as a customer wants explaining what they are looking at. After all it is the dealers responsibilty to educate. We provide the pictures with pricing so that our customers feel comfortable that we are not quoting a "flexable" price.

I cannot answer that questin for you as it never happend to me. Like another posts says know your dealer. If you were serious then I would ask again. If you got the same response then maybe I would go to another dealer. I have posted this on other boards. before shopping for a koi I actually shop for a dealer I can trust and have a relationship with in terms of business.

totally scared

I don't even ask. I have to be careful of my blood pressure, so I just tell him to put the fish in the mail and put it on my bill.

And yes, I buy them without seeing them in person. I know, I know: it's against all reasonable advice.
